Olympic Ambitions

The GYC supports its members and their Olympic ambitions since 2004 and has not stopped since then!

The 2028 campaign is underway, as athletes assume the Olympics as an objective and start to position themselves in the qualifying regattas.

4 GYC Racing Team Members aimed for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 - Two participated:

Matteo Sanz Lanz - X:RS Olympic Diploma for Switzerland
Will Ryan - 470 - Olympic Gold for Australia
Eliot Merceron - Laser Standard and Nils Theuninck – Fin

Four GYC Racing Team Members went to Rio 2016:

Natalie Brugger & Mattias Bühler - Nacra 14 (SUI)
Billy Besson- Nacra 1 7 (FRA)
Will Ryan - 470 (AUS)

Three GYC Team Members participated in the 2012 Olympics:
