With its club facilities based in the Swiss mountains and in the beginning, very often acknowledged with surprise, the GYC developed into an international club with 400 members from over 35 different countries and to a place where members and their guests love to meet.
The GYC supports sailing at every level—from juniors to professional sailors and has become a strong force in Swiss and international sailing, especially in Olympic and classic yacht racing. Members benefit from a global network, year-round activities, and 50–70 annual events on the water, in the clubhouse, and around Gstaad. Despite having no direct access to the sea, GYC is deeply committed to ocean and water protection. Since 2011, sustainability has been central to the club’s mission, with ongoing projects in partnership with leading foundations, governing bodies, and the Saanenland region. Our History
